To many people even the word “work” sounds unpleasant ,not necessarily because they are lazy.The same man,who dislikes his job in the factory or even in the office ,may work hard at the weekend ,painting the house or digging the garden.
What is the reason ,then?In most cases ,it is because these people simply do not enjoy the Job they are doing .It does not give them any real satisfaction. It may be quite easy,like making up wooden boxes, but it is very boring. Very often they are doing a job which is just a small part of a much larger one ,such as attaching a door handle to a car. But the part they play in actually making the car is so small that they can never say: I have made something !

It is reported that thirty volunteers to be sent to the Mars who are at least 18 years old will be chosen from all the globe by the year of 2015. The volunteers must make a full preparation that there is almost no chance to return to the earth once they are immigrated to the Mars. What’s more, it is greatly important for them to try to keep a good relationship with other members. Experts strongly warned that the living conditions on the Mars are very hard, for not only the extremely cold climate would they meet with, but also loneliness and fear. There is no doubt that what a cleaner does is more harder compared with any other jobs in the society. From the above, I can draw the conclusion safely that even the smallest and the most ordinary job, such as cleaning the street is also the necessary part to keep the society going smoothly. Consequently, those who do those most insignificant微不足道的jobs should get respected as much as those being engineers or doctors.

A retired teacher received many letters from his former students, one of which was read as not only a thank-you note for his inspirational teaching in his mathematical class, but a warm comfort for his poor physical condition.
Reading the passage, I’m touched and link my memory to the most supportive mentor of my own -- Mr. Xu, an experienced Chinese teacher, was in charge of my class in Senior Three. As the senior year is characterized by running a tight schedule on everyday basis, we students were loaded with heavy coursework, frequent quiz and exams, and pressured by our parents’ high expectations. Increasingly, I felt a need to consult with Mr. Xu on reducing the amount of our workload so that we could be given more time to digest what we had learned over the past couple years.
Unlike some of the stern supervisors, Mr. Xu was open-minded and patient enough to allow me to raise the above argument. “Besides the study efficiency,” he added with a friendly simile, “I also concern for your morale and well-being. So don’t you worry; I’ll talk to other teachers and see what we can do to help the class decompress.” Thanks to his approval and consistent support, we systematically adjusted our pacing and stayed upbeat in preparation for the college entrance examination.
A teacher can be influential in either positive or negative ways. In my observation, a good teacher can bring out the best of his students while a bad teacher may, regrettably, affect the young mind in most discouraging manners.

Is Watching TV a Good Thing
Television has changed people's life much since it was invented. Now it has become an important part of modem life.
People enjoy themselves after hard work by Watching TV. They can see some plays, some stories,some sports matches without going out of home, and without spending much money in buying tickets. TV programmes make people's life more interesting.
People learn much from TV. Students can study by watching some educational programmes. People can see news, weather reports; programmes about science and computers. People all over the world can learn from each other and get knowledge when they are watching TV.

Use of Free Time
With the working hours becoming shorter and shorter and holidays becoming longer and longer, how to spend the leisure time has become a hot topic.
The use of free time often discloses much about one's tastes, values, interests and personality. Weekends to people mean that people can have two days' rest. They can go out or get together at home.

Football is the most popular ball in the world. More and more people like watching football matches. They can't sleep or eat when their teams are playing.They shout for their players. In recent years，many newspapers and magazines focus on the activities of film stars，pop singers and some other famous men and women. Reporters disguise their identities，infiltrate the subject’s business and family，or even bug and wiretap them——to get the news by whatever means are necessary.
It is not difficult to explain the reason for their surprising amount of interest in famous people’s lives. They are in the spotlight，renowned or notorious，they are the topic of ordinary people who like to know everything about them. To satisfy their curiosity，or “the people’s right to know”，journalists often find it their duty to report their activities.
More over，what matters to a newspaper or a magazine is the number of readers. A large readership means the rise in the circulation of their publications，hence a huge profit. Since film stars and pop singers are newsworthy figures，and their stories draws far more attention than those of other people，it is natural that the press tries to attract them to buy their magazines by featuring private lives of famous people.

Yesterday morning we wore strong and comfortable shoes, carried backpacks with the necessities in them and went to the mountain. We climbed a hill. On the top we saw a direction mark, which told us where to go. Down the hill, we came to a river. There were no boats but we had to cross it. Luckily, both of us had learned how to swim. But we shouldn't make our things in the backpacks wet. Seeing a piece of board, I got an idea. We put our backpacks on the board and swam in the water pushing the board. When getting to the other bank, with the compass we found north in which direction we walked half an hour. Finally, we arrived at the campsite. We set up a tent and made a bonfire.
The two of us spent the night in the forest.
We learned to use knowledge gained in classroom training to solve problems. It was quite an experience for both of us, which I'll never forget for the rest of my life.

The happiest moment, to me and to all of my schoolmates, however, was the one when the school was letting out at the last bell of the day and we were rushing home as if we would never be back. Once, on our way home, a bunch of naughty students found a crickets' hole and exerted themselves to inject water into it with loud cheers. The girls were no less frantic than the boys when they were having a good time at such games as jump-rope, hopscotch and battledore and shuttlecock.
第二篇： My grade school days are the most wonderful time I have ever had. In those days I always wanted as eagerly to learn as a dog prowls about in search of food. The teachers taught me not only the three R’s but also the way to observe the world surrounding us. They laid more stress on observation than on memorization. 每當(dāng)機(jī)遇降臨，伴之而來(lái)的是成功的希望， 但是機(jī)遇不能自行實(shí)現(xiàn)成功。假如你要取得成就或要實(shí)現(xiàn)你的雄心壯志，你必須努力工作、艱苦奮斗、準(zhǔn)備好條件。否則，機(jī)遇來(lái)臨時(shí)你卻無(wú)法利用。顯然，為了能夠完全適應(yīng)我們未來(lái)的工作，我們必須做好一切可能的準(zhǔn)備。
成功者與失敗者之間的區(qū)別就在于處理機(jī)遇的態(tài)度。成功者做好充分準(zhǔn)備迎接機(jī)遇的適時(shí)來(lái)臨，而失敗者工作懶散，眼看著機(jī)遇悄然而過(guò)。可見(jiàn)，兩種不同的對(duì)待機(jī)遇的態(tài)度導(dǎo)致了截然不同的后果。
我的觀點(diǎn)時(shí)，在我們的社會(huì)里人人都有許多機(jī)遇，但是只有那些做好充分準(zhǔn)備并且高度稱(chēng)職的人才能利用機(jī)遇達(dá)到自己目的。
Opportunities don't come often. They come every once in a while. Very often, they come quietly and go by without being noticed. Therefore, it is advisable that you should value and treat them with care.
When an opportunity presents itself, it brings a promise but never realizes it on its own. If you want to achieve something or intend to fulfill one of your ambitions you must work hard, make efforts and get prepared. Otherwise, you will take no advantage of opportunities when they come to visit you. It is clear that in order to be highly qualified for out future jobs, we should make every possible preparation.
The difference between a man who succeeds and one who does not lies only in the way each treats opportunities. The successful person always makes adequate preparations to meet opportunities as they duly arrive. The unsuccessful person, on the other hand, works little and just waits to see them pass by. Obviously, the two different attitudes towards opportunities may lead to quite different consequences.
In my opinion, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone in our society, in our society, but only those who are prepared adequately and qualified highly can make use of them to achieve their purpose. (208 words

It was my birthday yesterday. I got a lot of gifts. All of them were covered with coloured paper. Among them there were two interesting ones.

My brother gave me a message, saying that "My present has been put in your bedroom. "As soon as I went into my bedroom, I found a box. I opened it and found a laptop. I was very happy.

Wealth has always been what some people long for. It is true that most of them try to acquire wealth by means of honest labour. Their efforts contribute to the welfare of the society and at the same time to the accumulation of their wealth, and hence to their happiness.
There is no doubt that wealth brings happiness, especially in the modern society. Various kinds of up-to-date household appliances, latest fashions and recreations make their appearance with each passing day. All this makes our life more comfortable and colourful. Therefore, without money we cannot turn admiration into reality.
But there are exceptions when wealth does not go hand in hand with happiness. Wealth may tempt weak-willed persons to be addicted to harmful habits, such as drug-taking and gambling, and result in their own ruin. Besides, a person may lose his even some government officials who take advantage of their positions to take bribes from the people turning to them for help. All these will bring about the negative effect of wealth if we don't take a proper attitude to it.
In my opinion, on no account can we identify wealth with happiness. I also believe that one should never reckon only on wealth to achieve happiness .
