這段時間，我讀了一本書，名叫《城南舊事》，作者是林海音。說起這位作家，可了不得!因為她的文章《竊讀記》被入選了語文課本，語文課本一學期只有36篇呢!
《城南舊事》這本書，我覺得冬陽、童年、駱駝隊這個題目很特別，吸引著我，讓我有興趣打開了第一頁。
整本書讓我最感興趣的，當然是爸爸的.花兒落了，我也不再是小孩子了這個篇章。主要講了：英子漫長的小學生涯結束了，在畢業典禮的前一天，英子去看望病倒在床上的爸爸。英子說爸爸不在身邊，講話也不怎么敢講。爸爸卻說，無論做什么事情，只要努力堅持去做就行了，不用太在意別人。畢業那天，大家都落淚了，這也使英子回想起以前剛剛入學時，歡送六年級同學時的情形。
林海音13歲那年，爸爸去世了，這是件多么痛苦的事情。一個為成年的孩子，面對了這么大的事，還要養活弟弟妹妹，真厲害!
這本書，我覺得就是英子從童年到小學6年級的生活故事，和《假如給我三天光明》類似。不過，為什么要叫《城南舊事》我還不知道。不過，這是林海音奶奶的一個美好的童年!
